A secrete, I hide From My Parents (Jiban Pal)

Few days back, my dad suffered cardiac painow.yocardial Infarct) and he was rushed to hospital. We came to know that he had 98% blockage and had to undergo angioplasty.

So he was admitted in hospital and his surgery was planned the next day. My sister called to know about his condition on my cell phone. Dad was in a private room and he said he wants to talk to my sister. While he was talking, cardiologist came on rounds.

He told my dad that they will take him up for Angioplasty at 10 in the morning. He then turned to our family and said, “You all may leave and take rest, the nurse will take care of Sir”

To which my dad replied “Please make everyone go and let Pooja only stay. Sher hai mera beta (My daughter is a tigress). She is my only child who doesn’t cry. Rest all will be tensed, even my elder daughter was crying on phone.”

I smiled towards dad and talked to the doctor on duty. After he left, I told dad that i will just have a coffee from canteen and come back.

I reached downstairs and just broke down.

I cried, cried and cried. I love him way too much. I just could not see him lying down in ICU bed being a doctor myself.

I washed my face and came back to see if daddy had slept.

“What took you so long? You must be on phone na?” he said.

I said obviously.

He smiled, I kissed him goodnight.

P.S- This is one secret my parents who think that they have raised a strongest daughter,but they don’t know- I do cry, I cry for the people I care, I cry for the people I love.
